What is the Value Champions program?
The Value Champions program provides the opportunity to recognize and reward teammates who live Our Core Values every day in our stores, distribution centres and offices across the country. The Value Champions program has been in existence at Sobeys for many years with the primary focus of celebrating employees who exemplify the values at the heart of Sobeys Inc.: People-Powered, Customer-Driven, Community-Engaged and Results-Oriented.
How are Value Champion winners selected?
A committee comprised of the Employee Recognition team, regional Human Resources Business Partners and VPs of Operations select the annual Value Champions award recipients.
Any of our corporate employees can submit a Value Champion nomination, from peer-to-peer nominations to managers recognizing a teammate.
How do I submit a nomination?

When can I submit a nomination?
Today! Nominations are in alignment with our fiscal year, from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023.
How do I know who was nominated?
Nominees will receive a Value Recognition card from their department head and their nomination will be forwarded to the committee which selects the annual Value Champions winners. All Value Recognition cards will be mailed to the attention of the Store Manager/RSC Manager on a monthly basis.
